"Transnational Cooperative Initiatives on Climate: Conceptualizing and Assessing their Legitimacy in the Governance of Climate Change"
Une conférence de Laura Lozzelli, dans le cadre du séminaire du CReSPo
Résumé : Transnational multi-stakeholder initiatives are gaining authority in the global response to climate change. By including a larger set of stakeholders, these arrangements hold the promise to provide a more legitimate venue to the international climate regime’s approach. To shed light on whether these initiatives enhance the legitimacy of global climate governance, this project proceeds in two main ways. First, it proposes to develop a framework against which the legitimacy of climate initiatives can be conceptualized and, second, to apply the framework to a number of existing initiatives in order to assess their legitimacy.
